The New Cameroon Airlines “CAMAIR-CO”

The inaugural Camair-Co flight is confirmed for March 28, 2011.Upon his arrival in Cameroon in March 2010, Alex van Elk has promised to regularly inform the national and international attention on preparations for the launch activities of the Cameroon Airlines Corporation (Camair-Co). So to keep that promise the CEO of the new airline of Cameroon, gave a press conference last year confirming the launch.

On the menu of exchange with reporters: beyond the business relating to the staff of the future company and the ongoing refurbishment of the premises of the former Cameroon Airlines (Camair), there were recent changes and decisions regarding the choice of flights, the airline network and the starting frequency of Camair-Co. However, the most significant information was confirmation of the effective launch of activities of the company by April 1, 2011. The staff directing controlled by manager Alex Van Elk moreover the relevant date of 28 March 2011 for the inaugural flight of Camair-Co.  Alex Van Elk, who was accompanied by his Director of Operations and its Chief Financial Officer, said that for a start, the company will operate a fleet of four aircraft limited to, including two Boeing 767s with a capacity of 212 seats each, and two Boeing 737s with a capacity of 174 seats.
