As the news breaks that David and Victoria Beckham have made the guest list for the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton this April, there’s one question on every petrolhead’s lips. Which car will they drive to the ceremony?

Posh and Becks have owned a huge collection of the world’s most sought-after vehicles, many of them lavishly customised to bring a whole new dimension in exclusivity.

They definitely won’t be short of options when the time comes to arrive at the wedding of the century in style.

David plays it a little more low key than usual in his black Audi saloon during 2009 but there’s nothing downbeat about the performance of this V10-engined, all-wheel-drive S8. The kids could be in for a shock.

Bentley Arnage

This is the police giving David and Victoria’s silver Bentley Arnage the once over as they arrive at Buckingham Palace to see the Queen and collect David’s OBE.

You’d think that upstanding citizens like the Beckhams would be above suspicion but maybe the officers are just marvelling at the Arnage’s venerable 6.75-litre V8.

Cadillac Escalade

There are no prizes for guessing who owns this huge Cadillac Escalade. It’s been comprehensively modified with the grille badge and the leather seats both carrying the 23 logo which corresponds to David Beckham’s shirt number at Real Madrid.

Audi RS 6

When a 5.0-litre V10 engine isn’t quite enough, Audi add a couple of turbochargers and create the snarling RS 6. Here’s David in 2010 being helped into his 572bhp road rocket.

Beckham is a keen driver and here we’ve got him putting his skills to the test in 2004 on a track day at a race circuit near Madrid. He’s at the wheel of a modest (by his high standards) Audi A4.

The car might be more suited to junior executives than global superstar footballers but Beckham looks ready to give it the beans nonetheless.

Chevrolet Camaro

Chevrolet’s all-new Camaro has caused quite a stir since it was unveiled, starring in feature films and gaining a coveted place in the Beckhams’ garage. This is David and Victoria out in Los Angeles in their heavily modified version complete with mean black and grey colour scheme.

Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupé

When the Beckhams turn up at a restaurant they are usually the centre of attention but just to be on the safe side, this time they took the Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupé.

The £350,000 luxury convertible will have had jaws on the floor long before anyone realised who was in it.

BMW X5

Victoria is being driven back to their home in Madrid here. It’s 2005 and she’s in a BMW X5 with a burly bodyguard at the wheel.

Jaguar XJ

Jaguar continued it’s impressive return to form with the launch of the XJ luxury saloon in 2009. David and Victoria were quick to give it the vote of confidence.

Hummer H2

This is the massively modified Hummer H2 that David Beckham ordered in 2005. It features super-low-profile tyres and wheels with the ‘VII’ logo as well as ‘VB’ embossed on the seats inside.

David is a big fan of the Hummer, so much so that he once bought his son Brooklyn a scaled down toy version costing £22,000 for Christmas

Mrs Beckham is out and about here in another luxury SUV. This time it’s 2008 and she’s in a Volkswagen Touareg, one of the more understated options in this plush sector of the market.

Range Rover Evoque

Victoria Beckham was asked to help design the interior of the new baby Range Rover as the brand attempted to attract younger buyers. Here she is with the Evoque at Range Rover’s 40th Anniversary celebrations in London in July 2010.

Aston Martin V8

As he continues to dodge retirement from his professional football career, Beckham is clearly subscribing to the opinion that things can get better with age. When you look at this classic Aston Martin V8 he and Victoria are driving in Madrid in 2004, it’s hard not to agree.

While we wait to see whether or not the Beckham offspring have inherited the football and (er) pouting skills of their parents, at least we know that a love of cars has been passed to the next generation.

This is David’s silver Lamborghini Gallardo complete with ’23′ embossed wheels. The Gallardo is a thoroughbred supercar costing north of £150,000 and packing a 5.2-litre V10 with over 550bhp depending on the version.

Bentley Continental GTC

The Bentley Continental GT proved a massive hit for Bentley and gained a reputation for being popular with the football-playing fraternity. It seems their wives are keen too, as we see here with Victoria Beckham at the wheel of her personalised GTC in LA.

Jeep Wrangler

Those all-terrain tyres look a little over-the-top for the beautifully manicured streets of Beverly Hills but David fitted them anyway. He’s also made numerous other modifications to this rugged Jeep Wrangler to get it looking like this. If it snows in California this winter, he’ll have the last laugh.

This 997 Porsche 911 Cabriolet belongs to Victoria Beckham. The headrests and the wheels say ‘VB’ in case there was any doubt.

It’s possible for anyone to pick up a standard Carrera model for £75,000 but you can bet that Victoria spent quite a bit more than that on hers.
